PRISONERS PRAYED FOR AKEREDOLU FOR HIS QUICK RECOVERY.

Inmates on Death Row sentenced by Ondo State Judiciary, serving at Old Abeoukuta Custodial Centre, Ibara observed 3days of fasting and prayers for the recovery of His Excellency, Arakunring Rotimi Akeredolu CON SAN, the Executive Governor of Ondo State.
The prayers were organized by both Muslim and Christian Inmates sentenced by Ondo State. Over 50 inmates on death row from Ondo state and inmates including the officers of the Custodial Centre attended the Mosque for the prayers under the supervision of the Welfare Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Corrections Awesu Abdulhakeem, Pastor Hezekiah Olujobi, Ms Haruna Dorcas and Kolawole Babalola members of Centre for Justice Mercy and Reconciliation CJMR.


The prayer was held on 9/8/2023 at the Custodial Chapel and Mosque.

Also, the Christian brothers raised their voices to God for a speedy total recovery of the Governor.
Pastor Hezekiah Olujobi the Executive Director for Centre for Justice Mercy and Reconciliation CJMR who led the Christian prayer said the sickness of the Governor of Ondo state is the sickness of the entire Nigeria as a nation. Pastor Hezekiah Olujobi emphasized the need for the inmates to constantly remember the Governor and the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Bola Ahmed Tinubu for sound health.

Pastor Hezekiah Olujobi said when the head is sick it affects the whole body.

Deputy Superintendent of Corrections AA Awesu who represented the Controller of the Correctional Service Ogun State Command said the inmate’s initiative was geared towards the kindness of Governor Akeredolu always demonstrated towards the inmates.

The Muslim Chaplain and Imam in the mosque Alfa Adam Habeeblahi Abiola prayed for the quick recovery of the Governor.

The Officer in Charge Old Abeokuta Custodial Centre, Ibara -Abeokuta Ogun State – Deputy Controller of Corrections Ogunmoyede James O said the call for the prayer is timely, he also joined his voice to pray for the quick recovery of the Governor.
